The eighth season finale is upon us! And what an episode it was. Last episode's feud came to a head, with the twins announcing that they simply couldn't trust Sam, Sam announcing he couldn't stand Cindy, Kate and Anna siding with their father, and Cindy claiming the twins were the only trustworthy members of the family. The fight ended with Cindy choosing to move out, giving up her battle to win the estate, and taking the twins with her.
And so the season ends. As does the Phases of Our Lives that we know and love. Our beloved show has split in two with Sam, Kate and Anna remaining on Phases and Cindy and the twins moving to their own show, that has yet to be named. But, don't be too upset. Change is hard. But, just think. Now we have two shows to watch next fall!

This Just In: Spin-off Details Revealed
Phases of Our Lives produce Mike Tosis just announced that, as many of have speculated, the planned spin-off series will focus on the twins. But, he also dropped the bombshell that one of the Cellone parents will be leaving Phases and joining them on the new project.
Which parent do you think is leaving the show? Which do you want to leave the show?

Family Fued
Tensions ran high on this week's episode, as, our favorite Cellones continue to be as manipulative as possible. Unbeknown to us viewers, the twins were never told about their adoptive parents' impending divorce. Even more surprisingly. Kate and Anna so wanted to meet their news sisters that they joined their dad in his plan to lie to them! Through careful manipulation, they managed to convince Cindy and us viewers that the twins knew everything. But, they didn't! And, of course, the truth came out very publicly, at a Christmas party the family attended. Awkward. Especially since the kids still weren't talking to their parental units at the time. Oh, but they were talking by the end of the episode. More like yelling. Or screaming. Things were left completely unresolved, of course. Tune in next week to find out how the Cellone family manages to put things back together again.
It's a Twin Thing
I never thought I'd say this, but thank God for the twins! At least someone seems to understand what's going on.
Sam and Cindy were back to their manipulating ways this week. But, this time, things got ugly. It was like The Parent Trap. Except, the parents were the ones doing the sabotaging. In order to win custody, which really has nothing to do with The Parent Trap at all. But, either way, there were ridiculous prank, so I feel like my reference is legitimate. It started with the usual stuff, like erasing appointments with the kids off calendars to make the other person look bad, but then it ended with elaborate super-glue based pranks that really had nothing to do with winning the kids over at all. And Kate and Anna still didn't know what was happening!
Luckily, the twins came to the rescue, laying out the situations for our dim-witted heroines. Needless to say, when they figured everything, they were appalled at their parent's juvenile behavior. They joined forces with the twins and refused to talk to their parents until they worked things out. Brilliant. I love it when 16-year-old girls parent their own parents. Can't wait to see how all this plays out.

Double Trouble
The contents of the document that had Sam's jaw on the floor have been revealed and, honestly, I'm surprised he took the news so well.
Are you sitting down? No, really...are you sitting down?
At the end of last week's episode, Sam was holding two birth certificates. In an unbelievable (Seriously, I don't believe it. What were they thinking?) turn of events, Sam discovered that both (Yes, both) of their adoptive daughters were born twins. For reasons that are unfathomable to me, he decided that the next logical choice would be to look these twins up and ask them to move in with the family a la Sister, Sister. Both twins just happened to still be foster kids, as they were never adopted. And did I mention that they're identical twins? And the original actresses are also playing their twins? And so, the two Cellones girls have duplicated. And with four kids to fight over now, the battle for custody is sure to get even more heated.

Breaking News- Phases of Our Lives to Spawn Spin-off
This just in! Series producer Mike Tosis just confirmed that this season of Phases of Our Lives will set up for a spin-off series. The series will feature new characters that have yet to be introduced. Mike isn't spilling as to who the characters are and how they will fit into the Cellones' lives.
So, I guess all we can do is speculate. Who do you think the new characters will be? Do you like the idea of a spin-off? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
No strings attatched?
Hilarious episode last night. Now that the that divorce is fully underway, Sam and Cindy are trying to get the kids to pick sides. (Don't forget, their two daughters Anna and Kate were adopted. Sources have said this fact will come into play sometime. Could this season be the one?)
I couldn't help laughing at how obvious they were about it. Cindy kept taking the girls on shopping trips for "bonding time," despite her constant insistence that the separation had her spiraling into depression. And Sam started acting the family man, making dinner every night. And not just dinner, but breakfast for dinner? How the girls didn't see the strings attached to their late-night waffles is beyond me.
And don't fret. There was also plenty of drama to balance it all out. Tired of being treated like the bad guy, Sam launched an investigation into Cindy's past, attempting to uncover something that would put her into hot water, too. In the episodes final minutes, he was staring open mouthed at something he'd uncovered. And then a big fat 'to be continued.'
Any guesses as to what the big discovery could be?

Eighth Season Premire Delivers!
The highly anticipated eighth season of Phases of Our Lives is finally here! And I couldn't be more excited, These past few months have been hard ones, with only reruns to get me by. Luckily, the first new episode was stuffed to the brim with drama to fill the void.
As you all know, the last season left us hanging, ending right after Cellone family patriarch, Sam, came out of the closet, revealing that he'd been living a secret life for almost 10 years. After a whole summer of waiting, we rejoin the family just as Sam and wife Cindy have announced their separation. And things are already starting to get messy. The couple never got a prenup, and the claws have already come out in the battle over who gets to keep the estate.
